  • Private Yoga

Private Yoga is a great way to receive personalized feedback you may not receive in a group class. During our time together you get to choose what you want to focus on. There are two different types of classes you may choose from:

Power Yoga: This vinyasa style class connects your body and breath as you flow between the poses. You should expect to build strength, gain balance, and increase flexibility. This modern type of yoga will help you feel strong, energized, and connected with your body. After we flow we will spend a few minutes in stillness to enjoy the benefits of the practice. You may even break a sweat!

Yin Yoga: Yin yoga consists primarily of poses done on the floor and held anywhere between 3-5 minutes. While other yoga classes activate our muscles to find full expression in a pose, yin yoga uses gravity to hold a pose. By holding poses for at least 3 minutes it targets our deep fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than our muscles. Yin yoga improves joint health, increases range of motion, releases stored tension, and reduces stress and anxiety.

  • Acupuncture Treatment

Acupuncture is defined as “the use of needles inserted into the body by piercing of the skin and related modalities for the assessment, evaluation, prevention, treatment or correction of any abnormal physiology or pain by means of controlling and regulating the flow and balance of energy in the body so as to restore the body to its proper functioning and state of health (Statues of Missouri 2008).”

  • Cupping Treatment

Cupping creates a negative pressure and can facilitate rigid soft tissue release, loosens and lifts connective tissue, breaks up and drains stagnation while increasing blood and lymph flow to skin and muscles in ways not possible using compression. Another benefit of Cupping is that it can feel really great!! The pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, thus allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body. • Other Services offered with Acupuncture or Cupping Treatment

Gua Sha: This is a technique where a provider uses a tool to gently scrape the skin to enhance blood and break up stagnation. This is used commonly on the neck, back, and face.

E-Stem: Once needles are inserted into certain areas of the body, a machine can be connected to the needle handle and very light electrical current is added to help stimulate an acupuncture point more or help break up more stagnation and thus reducing pain faster.

Chinese Herbs: Chinese herbs can be composed of plants, animals, minerals, etc. Based on a patient’s condition, herbs may be prescribed to further help with their condition and symptoms. All drug-herb interactions will be discussed before prescribing an herbal formula.

Facial rejuvenation: This treatment is best done consistently for 8-12 weeks. Very thin, coated needles are inserted in the face to help break up wrinkles and lift the skin. It is not uncommon to have 20-30 needles in the face during a treatment. These treatments are done independently than a normal treatment due to the amount of needles being used and as to not overwhelm the body by adding more.
